SSL certificates for businesses across West Africa
Ordering, validation and delivery all happen online, so a business in Abidjan, Lomé, Ouagadougou or Dakar orders from us the same way as one in Accra. We can also install the certificate for you remotely.
What an SSL certificate does
An SSL (TLS) certificate lets browsers confirm that your website really is yours and encrypts everything sent between your visitors and your server. Without one, browsers warn visitors that the site is "not secure", and online forms, payments and logins are exposed.
Which certificate do you need?
- Domain validated (DV): issued in minutes once you prove you control the domain. Right for most websites and portals.
- Wildcard: one certificate for every subdomain, such as www, mail and portal.
- Organisation validated (OV): the certificate authority also checks that your company exists. Often expected for business and government-facing sites.
- Extended validation (EV): the strictest company checks, for banks, payment pages and other high-trust sites.
Not sure? Our SSL certificate guide explains the differences in plain language.
How ordering from outside Ghana works
- Open an account in our client portal and choose a certificate.
- Pay online in the portal. If your card is not accepted, contact us and we'll suggest another way to pay.
- Prove you control the domain by email, a DNS record or a file on your website. OV and EV orders also include company checks by the certificate authority.
- Download the certificate, or let our engineers install it remotely on cPanel, IIS, nginx, Apache, Exchange or your firewall.
Prices, VAT and your own country's rules
Prices and invoices are in Ghana cedis. Because we are a Ghanaian business, our invoices include Ghana VAT (15%), NHIL (2.5%) and the GETFund levy (2.5%) for every customer, wherever they are. Your own country's tax rules on services bought from abroad may also apply, for example a reverse-charge VAT in some countries. These rules change, so please check with your accountant or tax adviser.
Language: this page and our website are available in French. Our team works mainly in English. If you need French or another language, tell us when you get in touch and we'll agree how to handle it, case by case.
Frequently asked
Is a certificate bought from Ghana recognised in my country?
Yes. The certificates are issued by international certificate authorities such as Sectigo, DigiCert and GeoTrust and are trusted by browsers worldwide, wherever your website is hosted.
Can you install it for us if we are not in Ghana?
Yes. Our engineers create the key and certificate request, complete validation and install the certificate remotely, with your hosting or IT team giving us access for the work.
Will we be reminded before it expires?
Yes. We check your website every day and warn you weeks ahead if the certificate it serves is close to expiry.
Do you charge VAT to customers outside Ghana?
Yes. Our invoices include Ghana VAT, NHIL and GETFund for every customer. Your own country may also apply its own tax rules to services bought from abroad; check with your adviser.
