Adansi North District Hospital: IT that works from the server room to the bedside
As a key partner to the subcontractor, we installed and configured the hospital's IT and communication systems in Fomena and brought them into service for clinical and administrative staff.

The challenge
A district hospital is spread across several single-storey blocks, and every one of them needs working computers, Wi-Fi, phones and a way for patients to call a nurse. These systems come from different makers but have to work as one, and they have to keep working through power cuts, because wards never close.
What we did
- Installed and configured the servers that host the hospital's systems.
- Set up and connected workstations at nurses' stations, consulting rooms and offices.
- Installed the nurse call system across the wards, from the bedside units to the station at the ward desk.
- Configured Wi-Fi coverage for the hospital.
- Installed the public address and call systems for announcements and paging.
The result
The systems were handed over in service, so clinical and administrative staff could start using them. A patient's call now shows at the nurses' station until someone attends, and staff in every block reach the hospital's systems over the same network.
